Requests for Technical Assistance from Schools, School Districts, Daycare Facilities
Technical Assistance (TA): Assistance given to classroom/agency staff, support staff, or administration in a variety of areas including instructional strategies, behavior management, and communication/social interaction.
If the school, agency, or facility is located in one of the 14 counties UF CARD Gainesville serves, school personnel can complete the secure form below. Please note that administrative approval from the school, agency, or facility is required.
The purpose of technical assistance is to provide consultation to a service provider regarding a group or individual with autism spectrum disorder or related disabilities (ASD/RD). This request will prompt a UF CARD professional to arrange an in-person or virtual observation with follow-up as needed.
PERMISSION FROM THE SCHOOL/AGENCY IS REQUIRED AND THIS FORM SHOULD BE COMPLETED BY SCHOOL OR AGENCY PERSONNEL. Parents: please consult with your child’s school regarding technical assistance.
Administrative approval can come from the principal, assistant principal, guidance counselor or staffing specialist. Strategies may address, but are not limited to, the following: communication, behavior, social interaction, academic performance, accommodations and modifications, and environmental and visual supports.
