Training Description

Transitions are a natural part of life, whether you’re graduating, moving away from home, or starting a new career path. With the right preparation and support, these changes can feel more manageable. This session will provide practical strategies to help individuals and families navigate transitions with confidence. Whether you’re facing a major shift now or planning for the future, this session will provide valuable guidance to help you feel more prepared. Participants will gain valuable tools to build essential skills, adapt to new experiences, and redefine independence on their own terms.

Training Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Develop a Transition Plan: Learn how to harness strengths and motivation to prepare for upcoming transitions and goals to navigate towards independence.
  • Enhance Foundational Skills: Apply techniques for building skills in executive functioning, problem-solving, decision-making, and advocating for personal needs during periods of change.
  • Navigate Transitions Together: Learn ways where individuals and their families can work together to support navigating changes in communication and dynamics.

Sydney Green, Founder and Life Coach at Mindshift NeuroDynamics, specializes in helping neurodivergent adults navigate life’s transitions and develop sustainable independence. After working in the field of Autism for over 6 years, Sydney is dedicated to expanding support for individuals over the age of 18. With a background in Psychology and Anthropology and Autism Certified through the IBCCES, Sydney assists clients in navigating life complexities by focusing on foundational skills and increasing confidence towards navigating each individual’s unique goals. Her work focuses on empowering clients to redefine independence in a way that reflects their unique strengths and values, guiding them through career changes, educational shifts, and personal growth.
