In addition, he will describe three general areas where ABA has made substantial contributions in autism including: a) reduction of problematic behavior, b) acquisition of communication skills, and c) acquisition of other important skills such as self-care and academics. Finally, Dr. Vollmer will outline several ongoing research projects by his graduate students, so families may decide if one or more would be helpful for their child.
