Applied Behavior Analysis, what it is and what it is not

Presenter:
Tim Vollmer, Ph.D., Professor, University of Florida Department of Psychology

Dr. Vollmer will describe the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and address some common misunderstandings. In addition, he will describe three general areas where ABA has made substantial contributions in autism including: a) reduction of problematic behavior, b) acquisition of communication skills, and c) acquisition of other important skills such as self-care and academics. Finally, Dr. Vollmer will outline several ongoing research projects by his graduate students, so families may decide if one or more would be helpful for their child.

This training is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Seating is limited.
