- CARD-UF Gainesville provides trainings on topics of interest and critical importance to groups of families and professionals within our 14 county catchment area (counties listed below, groups of 5 or more). Scheduled trainings are listed on our calendar and are also included in our PostCARD newsletter and eNews publications. Training workshops are provided in a variety of formats and locations. Training may address early childhood, school-age or adult issues and may address areas such as communication, visual supports, peer empathy, problem behaviors, and more. CARD-UF Gainesville (along with all the CARD centers in Florida) offers several DOE Regional trainings each year. These trainings typically consist of a day-long workshop offered to professionals and families in North-Central Florida and throughout the State and generally feature a nationally recognized speaker.
