Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo’s “Quiet Time” for Children on the Autism Spectrum 9/28/19

The Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo is becoming a sensory-inclusive certified zoo, and will hold a special event for children on the autism spectrum!

Quiet Time at the Zoo
Saturday, September 28, 2019
9:00am – 11:00am

  • interactive sensory stations
  • quiet zones
  • animal encounters
  • keeper talks
  • training demonstrations
  • community resources for individuals on the autism spectrum
  • pizza and drinks available for purchase from Domino’s Pizza.

The SF Teaching Zoo will provide noise-dampening headphones, comfort kits, and zookeepers trained by staff at the University of Florida Center for Autism and Related Disabilities to support the needs of attendees.
