If you or your child is diagnosed with ASD and would like the opportunity to apply for higher education or employment, consider enrolling in our study!

Individuals diagnosed with autism are less likely to be enrolled in higher education or be employed, severely limiting their opportunity for independence.

The purpose of the current investigation is to teach individuals the skills necessary to successfully apply for higher education and/or employment. This includes, but is not limited to, resume and CV development, interview skills, and improving social skills. We will use various positive reinforcement-based procedures and feedback.

Procedures will include brief, 5 to 10-minute sessions lasting between 1 and 2 hours per day, once a week. Because all individuals have different skill deficits, duration of participation will vary, but will terminate upon mastery of the skill deficit(s) or after 4 months elapse. You or your children may withdraw from the study at any time.

Participants will not receive compensation.

Location
In-person appointments once or twice a week at the UF psychology building in Gainesville, FL for a duration not to exceed 4 months.

Are you or your child eligible?

  • Must have a diagnosis of autism.
  • Must be between 15 and 65 years of age.
