UF CARD Employment Bootcamp: Navigating Your Way 2 Employment Success
UF CARD is offering a one-week (i.e., five full-days) Employment Bootcamp for adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The schedule of activities for the Bootcamp is designed to facilitate the development of a personal futures plan to help adults with ASD navigate aspects of employment. The activities will address: identifying strengths, understanding what it means to be employed, learning self-advocacy, practicing interview skills, and interacting with others. By the end of the week, participants will have determined both short and long-term plans for their personal next steps toward employment.
This program is free of charge to participants thanks to generous donations from IMPACT Autism at UF.
Eligible participants must:
- be 18 or older
- have exited high school
- be a UF CARD constituent
- be interested in getting a job or volunteering
- be able to attend all 5 days of the camp
