Annual CARD Day at the Capitol

Published: January 31st, 2018

Category: Autism, Calendar

Dear UF CARD Friends,

This is your opportunity to talk to legislators and advocate for individuals with autism about how important it is for them to receive services and how important the services offered by CARD are to the community.

Legislators need to hear our stories. Many lawmakers do not have family members with autism and do not fully understand the services CARD provides to our loved ones.

Please join us for our Annual CARD Day at the Capitol, in Tallahassee,  on Thursday, February 8th, 2018 to help spread the word.

Participants will meet in Waller Park which is located at the west entrance of the Capitol by the dolphin fountain.

Schedule:

  • 10:00 a.m. Staffed Information Tables
  • 11:30 a.m. Luncheon
  • 12:15 p.m. Remarks from Rep. Manny Diaz, Jr. (Tentative Speaker)

If you are able to attend this event please contact Greg Valcante at valcante@ufl.edu.
