Sponsorships Available for Stomp the Swamp
On February 6th, 2016, the University of Florida’s IMPACT Autism student organization will hold its eighth annual Stomp the Swamp for Autism at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. With a prevalence of 1 in every 45 individuals, autism is more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined, and is the fastest-rising developmental disorder in the United States. Along with challenges in social communication and behavior, individuals with autism are often at risk for wandering from home or school, and for drowning.
At Stomp the Swamp, families who have a child with autism, community members, and UF students, faculty and staff walk or run the stadium steps or around the stadium to raise funds for the UF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD). Donations help to provide child safety devices and materials directly to families of children with autism, and to fund our social interaction activities for teens with autism and our Kids Day Out events that give parents a safe place to bring their youngsters with autism.
In order to make this event a success, we need the support of caring businesses like yours. Each sponsorship increases the availability of resources for children with autism and their families through UF’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, the area’s largest resource center for individuals with autism and their families. Please consider sponsoring this essential cause. Your donation will be tax-deductible. If you are not able to become a Stomp the Swamp sponsor, you can donate items for our silent auction. Items can include gift certificates, gift bags, event or attraction tickets, product samples, etc. We are very grateful for all donations.
If you want to learn more, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.card.ufl.edu. Any amount you can give is helpful. Sponsors who give $500 or more will have their company logo printed on the back of the event tee-shirt. Last year’s we had over 500 participants and raised over $9,000 for UF CARD; this success would not have been possible without the support of businesses like yours. This year we hope to raise even more, and we need your support to do that! Thank you for your generosity and commitment to supporting individuals with autism. We hope to see you at Stomp the Swamp on February 6th, 2016!
