Dr. Amy Wetherby and her colleagues at FSU CARD and the Autism Institute in the FSU College of Medicine have just launched About Autism in Toddlers. This is a new Web-based tool for families, professionals, or anyone interested in learning about the core diagnostic features of autism in toddlers, current information on the prevalence and causes of autism, and the critical importance of early detection and early intervention.

Included in the course are narrated video illustrations of toddlers demonstrating early signs of autism, presented side-by-side with video clips showing behaviors that are typical for children without autism. About Autism in Toddlers was created as part of the Autism Navigator® online professional learning courses, and is available free of charge to the public.
